Amanda Dayhoff is a New York - based Actress, Singer and Content Creator originally from

Los Angeles, California.

I create because I want to be the representation I never saw growing up. My work is dedicated to creating representation for mixed, Mexican, curvy kids to feel seen, heard, and celebrated. Every project is my way of honoring my ancestors, my loved ones, and the little girl in me who longed to belong.

FROM MAKE BELIEVE

To the Minskoff...

Growing up, I was described as a frizzy haired, ethnically ambiguous, glasses-wearing girl and I think that explains it all. Through presenting full-length musicals for my stuffed animals, My passion for performing developed at a young age and has been growing ever since!

In my junior year of high school, I won “Best Leading Actress” for Fiona in Shrek the Musical from both the John Raitt and MACY Awards. Those honors led to the Broadway Actors Alliance, my Off-Broadway debut and competing in the 2016 Jimmy Awards, ultimately making my Broadway debut on the Minskoff Theatre.

Producing, writing, and performing stories that spark laughs and conversation.

The Content Chronicles

From web series to one acts, I love creating spaces where BIPOC, diverse voices, and bold comedy shine.

THE PROGRESSIVE LADY

During the height of the pandemic, Amanda co-created and co-wrote The Progressive Lady with her writing partner Charis—a multimedia satirical feminist web series that hilariously dissected Zillennials and the pandemic zoom work culture that existed in 2021.

The series, about the number 2  Blog/Magazine/Video Production company in the West Coast quickly took off on TikTok, reaching 30.8K followers, earning over 1.4M likes, and racking up 5.3M+ views and loyal followers.

Riding that momentum of TPL, Amanda went on to co-write, star in, direct, and co-produce the spin-off show Amelia and Beyond, expanding The Progressive Lady comedic, unapologetic and bold storytelling.

Women Aren't Funny Productions

Amanda teamed up with some of the most driven and talented women she knew and co-founded Women Aren’t Funny Productions. This is a creative collective and production company that is dedicated to proving the exact opposite of its name.

With a focus on female-driven comedy, storytelling, and collaboration, the company has produced original sketches, series, and digital content that spotlight underrepresented voices while leaning into sharp wit and chaotic fun.

McGillicuddy Comedy

Amanda joined forces with friends to create Season 2 of McGillicuddy Comedy, a quirky, character-driven sketch series full of sharp humor and chaotic charm. As a collaborator, performer, and writer, she helped shape the series into a space for bold, offbeat comedy and creative experimentation.

"Amanda does not just sing the notes written in a score - she embodies the lyrics of each song that she sings and
paints a picture with her voice."

THE MUSICAL - NOT THE YEAR

Dispatches

from 1776

In 2023, I had the honor of traveling around the country with the 1776 1st national Broadway tour as a Founding Mother (yes, really.)

I was a standby for Rutledge, Thompson, Sherman, Bartlett and Hopkins. To this day, I can be seen singing all five different vocal parts to, "Sit Down, John," quietly to myself.
